The Berman
Created for a home once owned by a student of America’s premier architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. The home being constructed completely out of stone left few options for finding the best room for an acoustically correct theater environment. This presented both aesthetic and acoustical challenges for our firm. When finally completed, the owners were amazed at the transformation.
An acoustically treated fiber-optic ceiling along with proper acoustical treatment turned a once echoing maid’s room into Mr. and Mrs. Berman’s favorite and quietist room in the house. Even the windows in the stone were hidden with automated motorized roller shades. The patterned fabric on the shades blended perfectly with the stone to complete the overall look.
